Meet Our Team
Our dedicated and professional staff are at the heart of everything we do here at Mauly Tours. Many have been with us for years, and we consider all to be part of the Mauly Tours family.Allow us to make a few introductions:
Spiros brings extensive experience to every Mauly Tours safari he leads.Born in southern Tanzania near Ruaha park,Spiros has been with Mauly Tours for almost a decade. His resume reads like a catalogue for Tanzania’s most prestigious wildlife-related educational institutions, including the African College of Wildlife Management in Mweka and Sokoine University in Morogoro, plus time working with Selous Game Reserves’s anti-poaching unit.
“Each day on safari is new; it is never boring. We are blessed with so much diversity here in Tanzania–the ocean, national parks,Mt Kilimanjaro and many rich cultures.Come and see for yourself all that Tanzania has to offer.”
Frederick is one of our longest-serving Kilimanjaro guides. Born in Marangu, on the mountain’s lower slopes, Frederick has been guiding Mauly Tours trekkers safely up the mountain since 1987, and has summited over 300 times.“In our local Chagga language,” says Frederick,“Kilimanjaro means ‘mountain of snow’.
I would like visitors to know that there is so much history and tradition to our mountain. It has been at the centre of Chagga culture for centuries, and climbing it is about so much more than simply reaching the top.”
Nacky is the first person you will likely meet at Mauly Tours’ Moshi office. She has been with the company since 2014 welcoming clients and helping them get started on their mountain treks and safaris. With her warm smile, competent, capable manner and excellent English, she will soon help you to feel at home. Her message to those considering using Mauly Tours: “If you want to experience the true nature of Tanzania and to discover its exotic places, visit Mauly Tours. Mauly Tours is like a family. Let us be your home away from home.”
We will work with you to provide the most scenic and relaxing holiday experience possible. Once you are settled, our staff will give you a briefing on what to expect during your safari. We will continue to be available to assist you throughout the duration of your visit.
