Knowledgeable, experienced guides are one of the most important elements of a wildlife safari. At Mauly Tours, we pride ourselves on our safari guide team. Many have been with us for years, and as a group, they have several decades of shared experience in northern and southern Tanzania. We are sure that after spending time with them, under their safe and capable guidance, you will also agree with us that getting to know them has been one of your safari highlights.
Spiros and Bariki bring extensive experience to every Mauly Tours safari they lead. Spiros, who was born in southern Tanzania near Ruaha park, has been with Mauly Tours for almost a decade. His resume reads like a catalogue for Tanzania’s most prestigious wildlife-related educational institutions, including the African College of Wildlife Management in Mweka and Sokoine University in Morogoro, plus time working with Selous Game Reserves’s well-respectedanti-poaching unit. Bariki, who hails from nearby Arusha, is now in his sixth year with the company, and is an expert on northern Tanzania wildlife. His background includes studies at Arusha’s Molac Wildlife College, collaboration on an elephant research team in
Tarangire National Park and work with an Arusha-based safari company.Their knowledge and enthusiasm, and their love for their work, overflows in their conversation.
Spiros:“Together, we have lots of experience in both southern and northern Tanzania with wildlife.Yet each day on safari is new.Itisne-ver the same, and we never get bored. We are
